I have about 36 of my photographs on display and for sale at the Blackbird Coffeehouse here in Port Angels for the month of February 2023! "Tropical Green Series"
These macro photos of tropical plants were taken in the yard of our home when we lived in Hawaii (this is a Hawaiian Ti plant). This series of four prints is a tight, square crop for a soothing, tropical feel. Photos were taken in August 2012.

"Yellowstone Grand Prismatic Spring"
This spring is one of the most famous in Yellowstone. The size of the spring and the variety of colors from the different types of bacteria are amazing. This photo "stitched" together several images into a single wide high-resolution panorama. The photo was taken in May 2018.

"Hurricane Ridge Sunset"
This beautiful late summer sunset was taken from Hurricane Ridge in the Olympic National Park in August 2022. It was a very pretty sight as I was waiting to take some photos of the Milky Way later when the skies got dark. Several photos were "stitched" together to make this high-resolution panorama image.

“Hurricane Ridge Milky Way”
This photo of the Milky Way was taken from the Morse Creek Overlook on Hurricane Ridge road in the Olympic National Park in July 2022. It was made by "stacking" 5 individual images to produce a single final image.

"Glacier Bay Vista"
Low clouds above the glaciers and a small cruise boat combine to make an ethereal atmosphere in this image taken in Glacier Bay Alaska, June 2005.

"Waimea Bay Skim Boarder"
This skimboarder was taking advantage of the close-in shore break at Waimea Bay on the famous north shore of Oahu, Hawaii. The late afternoon sun provided a beautiful backlight for the waves. The photo was taken in May 2011.

This was a “super” moonrise over Mokoli’i (Chinaman’s Hat) at Kualoa Park on the eastern coast of Oahu, Hawaii. Multiple exposures were combined to make this "HDR" image. Photo was taken May 5 2012.

"Tucson Sky On Fire"
When taking sunsets, you learn to look for hints in the clouds a few hours before sunset. This was one of those that was looking pretty good late afternoon. It turned into a spectacular sunset that was one of the best I've ever seen, and it went on for nearly a half hour. Several images at different exposures were combined to make this "HDR" image. The photo was taken in February 2013.

The NYC skyline with the One World Trade Center tower is a striking view at night. This photo was taken from Jersey City across the Hudson River from New York in March 2016.

This sunrise north of Tucson looking towards the Santa Catalina Natural Area was especially nice with the thin layers of clouds lit up and making prominent sun rays. Several images at different exposures were combined to make this "HDR" image. Photo taken September 2017.

This was a spectacular sunset I was fortunate to capture at the Edmonds Marina in Edmonds, Washington just south of the Edmonds ferry terminal. This photo was taken in July 2018.

“Edmonds Ferry Sunset”
The ferry terminal at Edmonds, Washington is adjacent to Brackett's Landing, a small waterfront park. It's a marine and bird sanctuary, and home to the Edmonds Underwater Park, which is very popular with scuba divers. This photo was taken in July 2018.

"Big Island Hawaii Stars"
The Kilauea volcano on the Island of Hawaii is one of the most active volcanos in the world. This photo was taken at the visitor's center above the Halemaʻumaʻu crater. Countless stars add their beauty to the scene while the red glow from the lava lake lights up the steam clouds. The constellation Orion (on his side) is very visible in the middle left of the photo. Photo was taken late on Christmas Eve 2017.

This picturesque old barn in Tumwater Canyon near Leavenworth, Washington was surrounded by beautiful fall colors and evergreen trees. This photo was taken in October 2021.

"Waialua Sunflowers"
A commercial sunflower farm lies on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii between the towns of Waialua and Haleiwa. If you are lucky enough to find this hidden gem, you will be amazed by the acres of sunflowers in every direction as far as you can see. (Kevin and his wife lived on Oahu for a few years.) Photo was taken in December 2012.

“Sunset Paddle Boarder"
The summer of 2015 saw terrible wildfires in eastern Washington and southern British Columbia. It made for surrealistic sunsets as the winds blew the smoke from the fires into Puget Sound. It was one of those days as this paddle boarder enjoyed the calm waters near the ferry terminal in Edmonds, Washington. This photo was taken in July 2015.

"Ka'a'awa Sunrise"
A beautiful sunrise from Kalaeʻōʻio Beach Park in Ka'a'awa, (Oahu) Hawaii taken on Christmas Eve morning in December 2012. Kevin and his wife lived just a 2-minute drive from this beach for a few years. Multiple exposures were combined using “HDR” software to make this image.

"Buzzing the beach”
These pelicans were just a few of the dozens flying up and down the beach looking for some fish to catch. This photo was taken in September 2022 at Rialto Beach in the Olympic National Park.

“Salt Creek Sea Stack”
A favorite place of Kevin's is the Salt Creek Recreation Area just west of Port Angeles. It has an interesting history as a military camp in World War II. This sea stack is a prominent feature where Salt Creek flows into Crescent Bay. This photo taken at low tide in September 2022 captured the sea stack and its reflection.

The Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge in Sequim, Washington. is always interesting to explore. On this cool day there was some heavy mist in the air looking west down the beach. This photo was taken in October 2022.

These two colorful geckos were on a eucalyptus tree in the Hawai‘i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden on the Big Island of Hawaii. This photo was taken in December 2017.

“Hello (again) Little Foggy"
This past summer our sunflowers were home to several pacific tree frogs. I got several shots of this one fellow as he moved from leaf to leaf as he was very camera-shy. This photo was taken in September 2022 in the yard of our Port Angeles home.

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is located in an old building with some very interesting ceiling arches that get a very striking appearance when the light through the windows is just right. Photo was taken Jun 2003.

"Musée d'Orsay Clock"
This young couple was standing in front of the large exterior clock of the Musee d'Orsay in Paris. It was originally a train station and has beautiful architecture. The photo was taken in November 2002.
